We live in Toronto and just used Yok Mei Construction to do a big renovation of our house. We lived in the house for about 22 years and we wanted it upgraded to a more modern feel. Yok Mei Construction was referred to us by someone we knew who had work done by them recently. Let me tell you, one of the best decisions we have made in our life. Now that the project is complete I feel compelled to write a review. In our minds, Yok Mei Construction is a perfect balance in terms of getting the highest quality product and service, but at a very fair price. The whole project was projected to be 7 weeks and they completed it in 5. They stayed on time and on budget throughout. Every day they provided updates on the project when they finished so you know exactly where things stand and what’s coming next. They were very flexible in terms of making adjustments. Once the work started we primarily integrated with the project manager and lead Chan. He is very knowledgeable in construction, kept the crew on task, and was easy to reach (cell). Importantly, this is a very high integrity, trustworthy operation. EVERYONE who came into our home was pleasant, friendly, and professional. We felt perfectly comfortable leaving them alone and giving them full access to our home. They are meticulous about the details and won’t end the project until both they and the client are satisfied and that everything is perfect. We are glad we made the decision to hire Yok Mei Construction and highly recommend them.

They renovated our basement bathroom and master bathroom and both look amazing. It was very pleasant working with Mr. Chan and his crews because they are hard working, professional, courteous and most importantly they listen. If you have any issues they fix it and get it resolved quickly. Mr. Chan made sure if everything was okay and if we were satisfied with their work. Leo did most of the job and he is amazing. He is very thorough and professional. I have recommended them to my friends and family.

Chan and his team just completed a total renovation of my downstairs, including a new kitchen, flooring, and removing a wall. This is the second we used Chan and his team and would definitely recommend them for any home improvement or renovation. They completed a full basement renovation for us on time and on budget!! The quality was beyond what we expected!! Chan and his team were great to work with, and very professional. There were several trades involved in the overall construction and Chan made sure the work was coordinated and kept the project moving so there were no delays. Chan is very responsive and able to work with us on sticking with our budget and providing us great suggestions and options. Chan and his team were referred to us by a former neighbour in Woodbridge for whom they finished their basement and made several renovations. We saw their work and we liked it so we asked for a quotation for them to finish the basement of our new house in Bradford. They offered us a fair price and an execution of the project in three weeks. Chan and his team (Jason and Samsung) did an impeccable job. They were receptive and flexible to make some minor changes during the execution, understanding our needs. They covered and protected the finished areas of the house, worked carefully and cleaned up and collected waste at the end of each day. They were also very careful wearing their masks during these pandemic times. They know what they do and finished their excellent job exactly three weeks after the day they had started, including an additional renovation we requested during the execution (tiles on the family room fireplace wall, including changing the location of the electrical outlets). We are happy with their work and we definitely will recommend to our friends who may need similar jobs.
